It is very difficult to understand what anybody else's experience is. There aren't enough words to really understand what anybody else is living. Physical beings want things to be the same. They want people to think the same. You work rather hard at sameness, but you will never win that battle because, from Nonphysical, diversity is known to be the most beneficial part of the game.
 

You intended to come forth into the physical realm of contrast to define what is wanted, to connect with the Energy that creates worlds, and to flow it toward your objects of attention, not because the objects of attention are important — but because the act of flowing is essential to life.

In een boekwinkel in Nepenthe aan de prachtige kust van Californië zag ik voor het eerst een boek liggen van Andy Goldsworthy. Een kunstenaar, die ik tot op dat moment niet kende of waar ik ooit wat van gezien had. Om op deze plek in de natuur juist tegen deze kunstenaar aan te lopen, maakte me zo blij, dat ik haast niet kon wachten tot ik meer van zijn werk kon zien. Voor iemand die zelfaltijd steentjes zoekt op het strand en in ieder blaadje, takje, veertje, schelpje iets ziet wat zo mooi is, dat je het gewoon niet kan laten liggen, is zijn werk heel bijzonder. Het is wat je zelf zou willen doen, maar niet doet. Wat heerlijk dat er mensen zijn, die het wèl doen en wat fijn dat je daar dan naar mag kijken. In de documentaire 'River and Tides' kun je Andy Goldsworthy aan het werk zien.

  

I first stumbled upon a book about the art of Andy Goldsworthy in a bookshop in Nepenthe, Big sur, while driving along the beautiful coastline, on a trip from San Diego, California to Vancouver, British Columbia. I had never heard of this artist from West Yorkshire, who currently lives in Scotland. As an art student I learned about Land art (with 'Spiral Jetty' by Robert Smithson as its icon) and have always been a huge fan of Christo Javacheff. For someone like me, who collects stones, feathers, twigs and leaves,.......,just because I find it all so beautiful, encountering his work made and makes my heart sing. I can really recommend watching the documentary 

River and Tides: Andy Goldsworthy - Working with time.
